Getting Here


Winterton on Sea is easy to find, and both cottages are simple to navigate to.  Just follow postcode NR29 4AP for Lazy Days Cottage or NR29 4AJ for Moonfleet House on your sat nav. Unlike many semi-rural locations, the postcode brings you directly to the properties.  Please note, there are no house numbers just names.

Most guests arrive by car, and the best way to get to the cottages is either via Norwich or Great Yarmouth.   From Norwich it takes around 35 minutes: take the A47 towards Acle then the B1152 through Martham, West and East Somerton and pick up sign posts for Winterton on Sea.  From Great Yarmouth it takes 20 minutes; follow the A149 north in the direction of Caister then through Scratby and Hemsby.

Complete directions to Lazy Days Cottage and Moonfleet House are provided in the confirmation email/message, prior to arrival along with key collection instructions.  Check-in is via a self-serve key lock box, the code for this is also provided in advance.

Lazy Days Cottage and Moonfleet House both have their own reserved parking to the rear of each property.  Additional parking is available on street, free of charge in the neighbourhood.

The nearest train station is Great Yarmouth which is 7 miles away or Acle at 8.5 miles both on the beautifully named Wherry Lines.  Taxis are available from the station taking only 15 minutes from Great Yarmouth or 20 minutes from Acle.  The journey time from Great Yarmouth to Norwich is around 30 minutes or Acle to Norwich is 20 minutes, all trains run from/to Norwich.  London Liverpool Street is 1 hr 45 minutes to Norwich, Cambridge is 1 hr 15 minutes to Norwich.
